What is rugby?

Rugby is a sport that,
although can be a hard sport at the top levels, can also
be played by anyone. And can be a lot of fun. But, as with
anything, you have to learn the game properly. And this
can take time.
It
is also very technical and complex because of the large
number of rules it has, far more than football.
Therefore, in order to
play rugby properly you need to have an appropriate level
of fitness and to have the right skills. If a person plays
rugby without any conditioning, and they don't know what
they are doing, there is a good chance they will get hurt.
It is a bit like going
mountain climbing without the proper equipment. You wouldn't
do it (unless you're nuts) and if you did you would probably
fall off a mountain. And that would really hurt.
Rugby is not well known
in Switzerland. So the Baar Panthers has a real focus on
taking new people and teaching them the basic techniques
and improving their physical fitness to a point where they
can play the game safely and well.

Rugby ist ein harter Kontaktsport. Er ist
auch sehr technisch und kompliziert wegen der vielen Regeln,
viel mehr als beim Fussball.
Um richtig Rugby zu spielen, braucht man ein
gutes Niveau an Kondition und Fähigkeit. Wenn man Rugby
spielt ohne Kondition, und man nicht weiss was zu tun ist,
ist es möglich verletzt zu werdern.
Es ist wie Klettern ohne richtige Aüsrustung.
Du würdest das schliesslich auch nicht machen (nur
wenn du verrückt bist) und wenn du das tun würdest,
würdest du wahrscheinlich vom Berg fallen. Und das
ist sehr schmerzhaft.
Rugby ist noch nicht bekannt in der Schweiz.
