Making Progress – 15 all draw vs Bern II

Last Saturday, 15 May, Baar went out against the Bern 2nd team. At the end of the rumble the scores were level at a respectable 15 all draw. Everyone felt good about the result and came off the field smiling.

The tackling was good and hard, and stopped their much bigger forwards running through us, and the backs played intelligently, kicking into open space a lot of the game. Both Cyril and Corren scored very intelligent tries. Corren kicked the points.

This showed the team has really matured over the last year or so. Structurally we are now far better organised and can hold our own, and can challenge superiour teams. Sure, there are some things we could do better. But this shows how far we have come, and that now we play as a team rather than individuals.

Good effort all round, and good result.
